We have tried to provide for all your needs during your holiday at Monte da Quinta. To make your stay more enjoyable, we also like to offer you a few little extras.

Guest Welcome Hamper

Compliments of Monte da Quinta a guest hamper awaits you. It includes: bottled water, a bottle of Alentejo wine, local sheep’s cheese, locally baked bread, preserves, biscuits, fruit juice, butter, our free range eggs, milk, tea and coffee.

Initial sundries: candles for the dining terrace, bin liners, liquid soap and toilet rolls, washing up liquid and kitchen cleaner.

For short stay reservations (3 nights) we provide initial sundries, along with a complimentary bottle of Alentejo wine and bottled water.

Champagne On Ice

For something a little special upon your arrival, why not pre-order a bottle of Champagne on ice. An order can be place when completing your Reservation Form.

Loyalty Discount

We offer a Loyalty Discount to all our returning guests. This discount is also extended to their friends and family.

Towels and Bed Linen

Fresh cotton linen is provided and includes pool towels for the use at Monte da Quinta only. Weekly housekeeping and linen change included. All towels are replaced mid week.

Beach Towels & Cool Box

We have beach towels and a cool box for hire, at a daily rate of 2 euros each per day.

Anyone for Tennis

We hire tennis rackets and balls at a daily rate of 2 euros per racket. Our local court is within 5 minutes.

For Babies

We have a babies cot complete with cot linen, two travel cots/playpens, a high chair, and a bed guard for a single bed. We are happy to provide these items at no extra cost.

For Children

For your entertainment the farmhouses have a selection of DVDs and Satellite free-view channels, as well as books, board games, toys, puzzles, pens and paper. We also provide night lights for the children’s bedrooms. We have Boules sets for children & adults, as well as buckets, spades and sun shades for a day at the beach.

Postcards and Souvenirs

Monte da Quinta Postcards and small souvenirs are available for purchase.

Farm Produce

Various produce including: Monte da Quinta fresh hens eggs, olive oil, oranges for eating and juicing, figs, pomegranates, tomotoes and local honey. Our home made Marmalade is made with seville oranges grown in the groves at Monte da Quinta.

First Aid

We provide a first aid kit for each house. We also provide location details for the local pharmacy and the accident and emergency centre, both are within two minutes drive and are open 24hours a day.

Hay Fever and Asthma Sufferers

Please be aware that the month of May is harvest time in Portugal. We advise that you bring adequate medication, although there is a Pharmacy within Castro Verde. Monte da Quinta is a working farm therefore  we do have livestock such as goats, small pigs and Shetland ponies. The farmhouses and immediate grounds are completely contained and separate from the livestock and their paddocks and housing.  Our non chemical pool and unpolluted air is a big bonus and commented on by many of our guests.
